About
Hello, I’m Esther, a lino print artist based in Oxfordshire.
I love reduction lino printing, from sketching out the designs, to carving the lino to seeing the picture come alive with each layer of ink. You are never totally sure that the print is going to work until the final reveal!
My printing journey began in 2019 when, after completing a lino workshop, I discovered a gift for creating cheerful, bold, stylised prints. I spent much of the Covid lockdown lino printing, with my hobby soon developing into a full-blown passion! After receiving lots of lovely feedback from family and friends (recipients of my numerous cards) I decided to take the plunge and start selling my work. It’s been an exciting year with some brilliant opportunities to showcase my work.
I like to take conventional subjects and give them a unique and playful twist. I’m inspired by the passing seasons, birds, plants and seedheads and I can’t resist a mid-century vase!
I’m conscious of the environmental impact of my work, so use biodegradable lino to create my prints. My products are also printed onto responsibly sourced FSA certified papers/card with recycled envelopes and compostable cellophane sleeves.
